Ana Carolina Hosne is Associate Researcher at the National Council for Scientific Research (CONICET), Argentina. She specializes in late Ming and early Qing history, and in cultural exchanges between China, Europe and colonial Latin America in the modern period, with a special focus on Jesuit missions.  She has been appointed Visiting Professor at the University of Turin, Visiting Fellow at the Center for Chinese Studies (Taiwan), The Ricci Institute for Chinese-Western Cultural Exchange (California), Harvard University as Mellon Visiting Fellow, the University of  Heidelberg as Marie Curie Fellow and the Paris Institute for Advanced Studies as Eurias Fellow, among other institutions. Professor Hosne has been recently appointed Distinguished Researcher at Sichuan University. She is author of The Jesuit Missions to China and Peru. Expectations and Appraisals of Expansionism, 1570-1610 (Oxon: Routledge, 2013), and of many articles in English, Spanish and Chinese in international peer-reviewed journals.
