The Interdisciplinary Program of Chinese Studies harbors a remarkable library of Chinese books, among the most important ones in South America. It covers various disciplines and topics, from dynastic histories, works by thinkers of different dynasties, the Confucian classics, collections on Confucian, Buddhist and Daoist thought, among others, to countless works about Marxist and Maoist thought and philosophy, as well as official histories of the Chinese Communist Party. In the field of literature, it includes multiple editions of classic novels of Chinese literature, comprehensive collections of contemporary writers, as well as specialized encyclopedias on the subject. It also offers an important collection on Economics and International trade. The library contains a variety of dictionaries of the Chinese language and on specific fields of knowledge. In addition, this vast collection includes a considerable number of works in European languages about China and East Asia in general.
